The Missouri History Museum has been active in the St. Louis community since 1866. Founding members organized the historical society "for the purpose of saving from oblivion the early history of the city and state." Today, the Missouri Historical Society operates the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park and the Library and Research Center at 225 South Skinker Blvd. in the city of St. Louis.
The Missouri History Museum invites you to step back in time and re-discover St. Louis through historical photography from MHM's Photograph and Prints Collection.
The Missouri History Museum's Photographs and Prints collection documents the physical growth of St. Louis and surrounding communities, prominent citizens, industries and institutions, important community events, and the everyday life of the region's diverse inhabitants.
