This HistoryPin channel is a collaboration between the University Archives, faculty, and student researchers at Oklahoma City University, a liberal arts university in the heart of the state's capital city.
We launched this channel in Spring 2013 to share and celebrate our archival adventures and to help preserve the lore and history of our campus and our city.
We are based in the Archives and Special Collections department of Oklahoma City University's Dulaney-Browne Library, which collects and preserves historical materials regarding the history of the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma and the history of Oklahoma City University. In addition to these two main collections, the Archives also preserves the Shirk Oklahoma History Collection and other Special Collections.
The Archives Reading Room is located on the fifth floor of the Dulaney-Browne Library in room 508. Archives staff must be available for patrons to use the Reading Room. Appointments are recommended although walk-in researchers are welcome when staff is present and during the hours posted on our website.
