The Museum of the City of New York celebrates and interprets the city, educating the public about its distinctive character, especially its heritage of diversity, opportunity, and perpetual transformation. The Museum’s photography collection consists of more than a quarter of a million photographs of the city, its inhabitants, and the built environment, and the Museum is in the process of digitizing that collection.
