Retired. Volunteer Researcher with Sandgate and District Historical Society and Museum Inc. Slowly documenting family photos going back over 100 years. I am lucky that my father's parents used photographs to communicate after they first met in the last year of the Great War, and even luckier that these photographs have survived to the present day. Those images alone show life in Picardy, East Devon, Pinner (Middlesex) and southeast Queensland around the first few decades of the 20th Century. (The photo you see here is me as a baby, with my Mum, at our farm house near Crows Nest, Queensland.)
