On February 10th and 11th 1958, the Queen Mother paid a visit to Blenheim in the province of Marlborough, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. The Queen Mother was a very popular 'Royal' and the town was hugely excited by the visit, part of a tour visiting various towns and cities in New Zealand. It had been 30 years earlier , 9th March 1927, that the town had hosted the Queen Mother. There were speeches, tours, presents, bouquets and decorations to mark the occasion.
