Volunteers

Historypin is about bringing people together all over the world, from across families, communities and different generations, to see and share their history in a new way.

Volunteers will be at the heart of these aims, supporting the project out in their communities, at their computers and as part of our team.

How can I get involved with Historypin?

1. Help us improve the location and dates of photos, video and audio clips

Have a look at the photos in your area, or places that you’ve visited on holiday. If you spot one that is in the wrong place or an inaccurate date, click ‘dispute’ to send us a message. Explain why you think the place or date is wrong, suggest more accurate information and tell us why.

2. Get your friends, family, school or community involved

Spread the word about Historypin and encourage everyone to dig out their old photos and get pinning.

3. Run a Historypin session

If you are interested in running a session using Historypin in your community, please contact our Community Manager, Natasha Armstrong natasha.armstrong@wearewhatwedo.org.

4. Internships

We will periodically offer Historypin internships, so keep an eye on the blog.
