This is a group of photos that illustrate a day at the races at Brighouse Racetrack, the present Minoru Park, in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. This was the heyday of the racetrack and the population of Richmond could double on race days. The photos are all from the 1920s and are not chronologically arranged, as evidenced by the changes in the race track structures. They are arranged in an order that conveys the experience of coming to the track in an era when gentlemen wore their jackets and hats and ladies dressed in their finest for this social event.
